Why We’re Attending the NIC Fall Conference
The National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care is a nonprofit organization founded in 1993 to bring transparency to the seniors housing and care sector through research, data, and analysis. Its stated mission is to support access and choice for older adults by connecting investors and providers, and proceeds from its events fund the research and education programs behind that work.
The Fall Conference is the sector’s principal networking and education gathering, running three days and convening capital providers, operators, developers, health systems, and the professional and service firms supporting them. This year the program carries the theme Igniting Opportunity, with the stated aim of moving senior housing leaders from opportunity to action through relationship building, strategy, and deal activity.
The agenda addresses the economic, capital markets, and policy conditions shaping investment, development, and operations at a moment when demand is climbing while new supply stays constrained. Sessions examine the state of the development pipeline directly, including the conditions holding back construction starts and where new projects appear most likely to return.
